Sounds

This subsection documents the various sound effects used in AM2R. Sound assets have the prefix snd.

sndJump

Plays when Samus jumps straight up.

sndHurt

Plays when Samus gets hurt.

sndBallBounce

Plays when Samus bounces on the ground as Morph Ball.

sndStep

Plays when Samus does a spinjump without Space Jump and Screw Attack.

sndSpaceJump

Plays when Samus does a spinjump with Space Jump but without Screw Attack.

sndScrewAttack

Plays when Samus does a spinjump without Space Jump but with Screw Attack.

sndSpaceScrewAttack

Plays when Samus does a spinjump with Space Jump and Screw Attack.

sndBrake

Plays when Samus brakes from a speedboost.

sndGrab

Plays when Samus clings on a wall using Power Grip.
Also used when stepping on oFloorButton1, an unused leftover object from Confrontation.

sndPullUp

Plays when Samus climbs a wall using Power Grip.

sndMSwitch

Related to weapon (Missile, Supers, Power Bombs) switching.
In 1.1, it played both when toggling between weapons, and when selecting them, in Toggle and Hold configurations. In the Community updates, it plays when toggling between weapons in the Toggle configuration, or when selecting a weapon in the Hold configuration.

sndWallJump

Plays when Walljumping off a wall.

sndLand

Plays when a shinespark gets initiated. The SJ stands for “Superjump”.
